As the Instrumentation Electrical and Controls Engineer you are supporting the Arxada Chemicals philosophy, “The Vision is Zero”. This position works to attain the purpose, “Zero injuries, Zero process incidents, Zero distribution incidents, and Zero environmental incidents”. Additionally, you will support our “Product Stewardship” initiative to ensure the health, safety, and environmental performance of our products throughout the products’ life cycle. Responsibilities will include manufacturing support, process troubleshooting, optimization and cost reduction based on strong technical and economic understanding of the electrical, process control systems and chemical processes.
Essential Job Functions:
- Provide electrical (power distribution) and process control (instrumentation) engineering troubleshooting, optimization, and reliability skills to the plant site.
- Provide maintenance technicians with troubleshooting and technical support.
- Plan and executes engineering and development projects (CAR’s and studies).
- Participate in the MI program, procedures, implementation, and reviews.
- Participate in process hazard analyses in associated discipline to ensure health, safety, and environmental soundness of our operations.
- Develop electrical and control instrumentation specifications.
- Support other engineering projects using I/E expertise and experience.
- Assist in evaluation of process changes with respect to management of change as well as maintenance and capital projects.
- Follows or assists project construction, operator training and project startups to ensure that design performance specifications are achieved.
- Develops and executes instrument/electrical commissioning plans for projects.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Prior experience with chemical manufacturing is highly desired.
- Bachelor degree in electrical engineering,
- Must have a demonstrated ability to apply electrical power distribution and process control engineering skills to accomplish high process on- stream factors.

The expected salary range for this role is $118,800-$145,200; specific employee compensation may vary depending on factors including experience, education, training, licensure, certification, location, and other job-related, non-discriminatory factors permitted by law.
This role is also eligible to earn a short-term incentive bonus and the following benefits: 401(k) plan, medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance, paid time off, paid holidays and paid sick leave.
