This role demands a seasoned professional with a deep understanding of industrial electrical systems and a proven track record of overseeing robust and efficient electrical installations in a variety of industrial settings.
Role Summary:
The Industrial Electrical Contractor will be responsible for leading the planning, execution, and finalization of industrial electrical projects, ensuring that work is completed to the highest standards of quality and safety. This pivotal role involves close collaboration with project managers, engineers, and other key stakeholders to deliver complex projects that meet all technical requirements and compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Leadership and Execution:
- Oversee all phases of the electrical construction process, from initial design through completion, focusing on optimal cost, efficiency, and performance. Manage a team of electricians and subcontractors, ensuring strict adherence to timelines and budgets.
- Technical Expertise and Compliance:
- Utilize extensive knowledge of Sage accounting software to manage project finances. Ensure all electrical installations comply with national, state, and local codes and regulations.
- Stakeholder Engagement:
- Serve as the primary liaison with clients, architects, and vendors, ensuring clear communication and professional relationships. Negotiate contracts and change orders, ensuring clarity and fairness in all agreements.
- Quality Control and Safety Oversight:
- Implement rigorous quality control protocols and conduct regular safety audits to maintain the highest standards of work and safety on the job site. Lead by example to promote a culture of safety and precision among team members.
- Innovation and Continuous Improvement:
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies and techniques in industrial electrical construction to continually enhance the efficiency and cost-effectiveness of projects. Recommend and implement improvements in processes and technologies.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 5-10 years of relevant experience in industrial electrical contracting, with a solid foundation in managing large-scale projects.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Sage accounting software is essential. Advanced knowledge of industry-standard electrical systems and software.
- Certifications: A valid Electrical Contractor’s license is highly desirable.
- Personal Attributes: Strong leadership capabilities, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage complex projects under tight deadlines.
