We are looking for a skilled Building Information Modeler (BIM) with expertise in Civil 3D to join our team and take part in meaningful and complex design projects. Key Responsibilities:
- Work on moderately complex design assignments or perform advanced CADD drafting and intelligent modeling tasks with minimal supervision. Projects may involve translating high-level design concepts and sketches into detailed general arrangement drawings and models.
- Review manufacturers' and fabricators' drawings to support accurate project designs.
- Provide guidance to junior-level team members by offering design sketches and refining technical requirements to meet project needs.
- Calculate material requirements and perform relevant calculations based on industry standards and project-specific needs.
- Ensure the integrity of intelligent models and perform technical support tasks such as cross-checking drawings, adhering to project layering guidelines, and meeting quality control standards.
- Act as the Intelligent Modeling Coordinator for moderately complex projects, ensuring smooth coordination and communication between design team members throughout the project lifecycle.
- Participate in project planning and, when necessary, lead field assignments or provide on-site technical support.
- Provide mentorship to junior design and drafting personnel, reviewing their work for accuracy and ensuring adherence to internal QA/QC procedures.
- Handle a variety of related engineering support tasks, including file management, drawing distribution, plotting, transmittals, and basic design calculations.
- Develop design criteria for different phases of a project by applying fundamental engineering principles, understanding material properties, and being familiar with construction, installation, and maintenance procedures.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent, with vocational or technical training in CADD drafting and intelligent modeling.
- A minimum of 9 years of relevant experience.
- Travel may be required, depending on project demands and workload.
