Job Description
- Consolidate opportunity studies (scope, cost and schedule)
- Ensures the optimization of the specifications by challenging and consolidating the needs
- Is responsible for feasibility studies (description, costa and planning): organizes, consolidates internal or external deliverables.
- Organize, pilot and control the activities of their team throughout the project
- Write the consultation files. Research and select service providers for the studies and construction phases.
- Deliver a Basic Design file (detailed design)
- Follows, validates and receives outsourced services
- Is the guarantor of the follow-up of evolutions by instructing the requests for modifications.
- Transmits an estimate and a consolidated schedule and an updated risk analysis
- Ensures compliance with site safety rules.
- Ensures the quality, the schedule and the budget of the works carried out.
- Collaborates with Procurement for contracting purchases
- Ensures compliance of infrastructures for process teams
- Manages customer modifications and external complaints
- Ensures the organization of the procedures for commissioning and the reception of works and equipment
- Draw up the end-of-case report, presents the end-of-project analysis, and archives all documents
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Quantity Surveying or a related field, plus seven years relevant experience.
SPECIAL SKILLS
- Must be highly articulate, have clear and analytical approach to problem solving, and strong decision making abilities. Must have excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Must have strong construction estimating skills, strong knowledge of construction and procurement strategies, and proficiency with project scheduling software. Must have ability to navigate Web-based construction management software (often provided by the client).
- Must thoroughly understand and utilize Information Technology in the performance of work including Internet, Intranet, Microsoft Windows OS, Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft Project.
PROFESSIONAL REGISTRATIONS
- Must have building construction/state license, 30 hour training in OSHA safety requirements, CMAA/PMI.
