Field Service Technician
Onsite in East Hartford, CT
Travel 20-30% of the time to locations within a 30 mile radius
$30/hr W2
6 month contract that can convert permanently or be extended

The ideal candidate will have a wide range of responsibilities including maintenance, repair, and calibration of field equipment. The successful candidate will be a problem solver who is responsive to customers' needs.
Responsibilities:
- They will be going into the office - setting up for the day (pre defined list of things to take care of)
- Monitor service tickets
- Busy work:
- Imaging PCs, getting PCs ready for deployment
- Keeping office clean
- Might need to jump on and support someone at another site remotely
- They may need to sit in a hardware support room and support with issues
- Swapping out PCs and there will be equipment to be dealt with as well
- On demand of certain things that need to be troubleshot
- Setting up new users
- Daily tasks of dealing with employees and end users (radiologists)
Requirements:
- 4+ years of Technical support/desktop support experience
- Personality is a big one for them (strong customer services skills)
- Focusing on hardware and understanding what to troubleshoot and the main components that would be in play (ability to troubleshoot network connectivity - important)
- Troubleshoot monitor issues -TCPIP
- Windows knowledge and re arrange monitor orders, refresh rates and understanding the why behind it all
- Adding memory for machines, etc.
- Healthcare or Radiology experience highly preferred
- ServiceNow experience is a plus
We support 9 outpatient sites and around the same number of hospital sites. Clinics are within 30 minute drive from East Hartford, hospital sites can be up to an hour away. I’d expect at least a day or two of travelling each week. Sometimes it’s more, sometimes less. We also deploy workstations to radiologist homes, though only the ones nearby.
