A recognized government integrator in Washington, DC is seeking multiple Desktop Moving Specialists to join their staff on-site.
About the Opportunity
- Start Date: ASAP
- Location: Washington, DC (100% on-site)
Contract Length: Full-time - 4-5 months with likely month to month extension
Responsibilities:
The Desktop Moving Specialist will:
- Assist in the de-installation, move, and re-installation of desktop and mobile devices, printers, VARIDESKs, and other IT-related office equipment and peripherals.
- Serve as a member of technical implementation team fulfilling a wide variety of technical service requests where excellent customer service and professional expertise are required.
- Must be focused on working with a team and coordinating with team members to solve complex issues.
- Move and set up workstations with computers and necessary peripheral devices (monitors, printers etc.).
- Check computer hardware (HDD, mice, keyboards etc.) to ensure functionality.
- Perform basic troubleshooting if necessary.
- Complete checklists and all necessary paperwork associated with Moves to ensure accuracy and inventory tracking.
- Perform delivery of IT Equipment as well returning to stock of equipment.
- Attention to detail when completing tasks, ensuring being on time, comprehension of tasks, and following escalation paths.
- Data entry (management of data) - accurately prioritize tasks and tickets, updating of ticket tracking system following templates provided.
- Navigate internal/external reference support materials.
Qualifications:- U.S. Citizenship required.
- Must pass background investigation for a Public Trust.
- Active certification CompTIA Certification (A+, Network+, Security+), Windows 10, or Mac OS X Essentials.
- 3-5 years of directly related experience supporting IT operations.
- 2 to 4 year's experience moving IT equipment installation, moves, and changes.
- Experience Desktop / Deskside Moving Specialist
- Must be able to document and take picture before and after moving.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be able to lift to 50 lbs.
