Must Haves:
- Bachelor’s Degree (Business Administration, Finance, Engineering, etc.)
- 6+ years of sales experience
- New business development, building strong client relationships, etc.
- Superior communication, both spoken & written
- Extreme comfortability and desire to be client facing, both 1-on-1 as well as group settings
- Managing customer expectations
- Providing candid feedback
- Receiving candid feedback
- Proficient with MS Suites (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.)
Plusses:
- Previous experience within the utility industry

Overview:
Insight Global is searching for a Territory Sales Manager (TSM) in Palm Springs, CA. This resource will bean enthusiastic and perseverant individual with a robust background in manufacturing to join our sales team. The TSM position will be the key liaison between a manufacturing facility and a network of new and existing customers. The expectation for this TSM position will be to maximize sales and margins within territory while remaining growth-minded to pursuing new business in a broadening field of opportunity. An ideal candidate will be a resource capable of providing technical advice and counsel to agents and customers when needed. This sales position is expected to report on location approximately 90% of their time during a standard business week, with an expectation of 10% travel.
Day to Day:
- Understand and promote product offerings
- Prepare customer quotations, shipping authorizations, return authorizations, and customer feedback using the end client’s software package.
- Develop and nurture relationships with customer base
- Price products effectively to market positions to maximize revenue
- Create regional sales plans and quotas in alignment with business objectives
- Analyze data to find the most efficient sales methods
- Travel through assigned territory meeting with customers to address concerns, provide solutions, and generate business opportunities
- Develop plans to acquire new customers through direct sales techniques, cold calling, and working through sales agent organizations in their assigned region
- Set up and implement presentations with customers using demonstrations & PowerPoints
- Conduct training for agents in sales techniques and company product attributes
- Participate in industry or promotional events (trade shows) to cultivate customer relationships
- Gather and monitor competitive data within assigned region by using customer and agent relationships
- Report on regional sales results
- Forecast quarterly and annual business demand and growth
- Prepare and submit reports to the Sales Manager
- Address potential problems and provide prompt solutions
