On Line Design is currently looking for an experienced Maintenance Manager, in Cincinnati, OH, to oversee the maintenance and management of plant machinery and facilities (specifically dealing with food or bottling equipment is desired). In this role, you will use your strong background with mechanical and electrical systems, excellent leadership skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. You will lead a team of maintenance technicians, manage maintenance schedules, and ensure that all equipment operates at peak performance to meet production goals.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the maintenance activities and improvement projects in support of plant operational needs and goals, ensuring operations comply with safety (OHSA standards), quality, and GMP requirements
- Manages the continuous improvement/optimization of the production equipment with a focus on a PM based structure and downtime minimization, including managing preventative maintenance computer
- Collaborate with production, quality and shipping and receiving teams to address and resolve equipment-related challenges
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inventory of spare parts
- Inspect, operate, or test machinery or equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions
- Perform routine maintenance, such as inspecting drives, motors or belts, checking fluid levels, replacing filters or doing other preventive maintenance actions
- Repair machines, equipment or structures, using tools such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, wrenches or equipment
- Support/train production during startups, changeovers, and ongoing operations to maximize line throughputs
- Cooperates with Quality to ensure compliance with all quality SOP's, maintaining audit ready status
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED
- 5-10 years previous maintenance experience in a manufacturing/production facility, bottling/ food manufacturing facility preferred
- Prior experience working with CPG equipment motors
- Ability to troubleshoot/identify and resolve issues in a timely manner
- Previous management experience a plus
- Experience following preventative maintenance schedules
- Experience working with electrical systems, using electronic tools
- Experience with reading product manuals, following schematics
- Strong mechanical aptitude with hands on capability
- Must bring ability to consistently lift 25 lbs.
