Overview
Our client has developed a groundbreaking technology platform that integrates the properties of advanced materials with the capabilities of silicon photonics, aimed at driving transformative leaps forward in the efficiency of AI workloads.
They seek an experienced SoC and system architect with a background in the design of advanced chips for high-performance compute and artificial intelligence (AI) workloads, such as training large language models (LLMs).
This individual will drive the end-to-end design and optimization of unique neural network architectures and will lead the integration of this hardware into larger systems.
This critical role requires an innovative mindset – someone who is eager to challenge conventional thinking and develop cutting-edge products to advance AI technology that will transform end markets.
Technical Background
- Deep experience in the full architecture of chips, from conceptual design through tapeout
- Proficient in high-level system integration pertaining to high-compute workloads (ex. AI, neural networks, LLM training)
- Lead verification to ensure first-pass success; establish best practices and optimize workflows for future designs
- Own performance modeling and analysis of the SoCs
- Oversee characterization and debug
Additional Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the CTO to define interfaces between the chips and systems
- Participate in technical exchanges with foundries past tapeout
Qualifications
- MSEE or PhD
- 10-15+ years of experience
- Proven experience leading multiple chips from concept to high volume production
- Demonstrated experience working with cross-functional teams and driving goals
- A startup mindset
