Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Business Analyst with specialized skills in the healthcare domain to join our team in Charlotte, NC. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of healthcare processes, systems, and regulations, and will play a key role in analyzing business needs, identifying solutions, and ensuring smooth implementation of projects within the healthcare industry. This position requires strong communication skills, the ability to work with diverse stakeholders, and a passion for improving healthcare operations through data-driven insights.
Key Responsibilities:
- Requirement Gathering & Analysis: Work closely with stakeholders to gather, document, and analyze business requirements, ensuring a deep understanding of business needs in the healthcare sector.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements in healthcare workflows and systems, and recommend solutions to enhance efficiency and quality.
- Data Analysis & Reporting: Perform data analysis and create reports to support business decisions, using tools like Excel, SQL, or healthcare-specific software.
- System Implementation: Collaborate with IT and development teams to ensure the successful implementation of new systems or enhancements to existing healthcare systems.
- Stakeholder Management: Act as a liaison between business units, technical teams, and external vendors to ensure alignment and understanding of project objectives.
- Compliance & Regulation: Ensure that all solutions and processes comply with healthcare regulations and standards, such as HIPAA.
- Project Support: Assist in project planning, tracking, and reporting progress, and support testing activities to ensure high-quality deliverables.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Management, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience: 8+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, with at least 2 years in the healthcare industry.
- Domain Knowledge: In-depth understanding of healthcare processes, including claims processing, patient management, EHR/EMR systems, and healthcare regulations (e.g., HIPAA).
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience in data analysis and visualization.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, SQL, and experience with healthcare-specific software (e.g., EHR/EMR systems, healthcare CRM).
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical information into clear, actionable insights for business stakeholders.
- Project Management: Experience with project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) is a plus.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with business intelligence tools like Tableau or Power BI.
- Knowledge of healthcare interoperability standards such as HL7, FHIR.
- Certification in Business Analysis (e.g., CBAP, CCBA) or Project Management (e.g., PMP).
