Job Summary: Lead and direct the Equipment Sales, Design and Build Division functions to meet strategic growth and profitability objectives. Drive revenue growth through new account acquisition, innovative equipment design, and highly efficient build processes. accounts.
This is an on-site position. Candidates MUST HAVE Industrial Equipment Design and Sales Experience.
Responsibilities:
- Manages and execute sales and equipment design and build functions to meet growth and profitability objectives by:
- Overseeing and accepting responsibility for the complete equipment sales process through final delivery to customers.
- Driving revenue growth (minimum 10% annually).
- Achieving profit margin goals as defined by the Executive Team.
- Measuring and developing strategies to improve customer satisfaction.
- Implementing strategies to drive revenue growth from existing and new customers.
- Identifying and analyzing new markets/products/services.
- Establishing and achieving sales quotas / related goals for sales force (including self) that meet Company objectives.
- Identifying and selecting resources required to implement goals.
- Identifying new technologies for new business potential.
- Ensuring effective control of sales/marketing efforts (i.e., direct mail, trade shows) through alignment with Company strategy and cost/benefit analysis.
- Representing Company at trade shows, customer, and industry events.
Supervises and directs the Sales, Engineering and Build Team:
- Establishing goals and performance expectations for team members and providing guidance as needed.
- Developing sales staff through regular observation and coaching.
- Developing staff through continuous learning activities, coaching and yearly performance management evaluations tied to goals and activities.
- Establishing staffing requirements in support of organizational objectives.
- Managing the sales commission process to ensure accurate recording of company sales.
- Assigning product lines, territories, and responsibilities to sales staff.
- Interviewing and selecting qualified personnel.
- Fostering teamwork and positive employee relations through regular & open communications.
- Developing tracking methods to ensure all leads received via the web or incoming calls are recorded and addressed within 4 hours and all referral follow up takes place within 24 hours of receipt.
- Overseeing proposal generation process to ensure proposals are issued in a timely (24 hours where appropriate) and accurate fashion.
- Participating in sales activities to offer guidance/feedback to sales staff and provide the customer with Sales Management support.
- Creates effective Sales Department metrics and reporting methods for Executive Management.
- Creates and monitors budget in format as assigned.
- CRM implementation/development experience.
- Represents Godfrey & Wing, Inc. in a professional manner dressed according to Company dress code while operating under the Employee Handbook.
- Facilitates and ensures proper communications with Sales, Engineering, R&D, Quality, Finance and Manufacturing to ensure customer satisfaction.

Minimum Job Requirements:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering. MBA preferred.
Experience: 10 + years of successful technical sales and engineering management experience in a manufacturing environment. Proven ability to develop and nurture senior level relationships. Demonstrated leadership abilities including goal setting, strategic and tactical planning along with developing sales staff.
Specific Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills including presentation and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated planning, organizational and time management skills. Must thrive on the challenge of direct selling and development of new business opportunities. Strong customer service orientation required.
Must have theability to coordinate work activities, be a self-starter and manage multiple tasks along with setting priorities for the Team and working closely with internal and external customers.
Ability to travel up to 40% of the time.
