Director of Demand Generation
Location: Boston, MA (3 days a week onsite)
About the Role:
Our Client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Demand Generation to join their dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in building and executing successful demand generation strategies, with a strong emphasis on data-driven decision making and attention to detail. This role requires a deep understanding of B2B marketing and a background in working within a startup environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategy Development: Develop and implement a comprehensive demand generation strategy to drive qualified leads and revenue growth. Align demand generation activities with overall business goals and sales objectives.
- Campaign Management: Plan, execute, and optimize multi-channel marketing campaigns, including email marketing, social media, content marketing, paid advertising, SEO, and events. Ensure all campaigns are integrated and aligned with the overall marketing strategy.
- Data Analysis: Utilize analytics tools to track, measure, and report on campaign performance and lead generation activities. Use data-driven insights to continuously optimize campaigns and improve ROI.
- Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of demand generation professionals, providing guidance, support, and professional development opportunities. Foster a collaborative and high-performance team culture.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the sales, product, and marketing teams to ensure alignment and integration of demand generation efforts. Collaborate on content creation, messaging, and targeting strategies.
- Marketing Automation: Manage and optimize marketing automation platforms (e.g., Marketo, HubSpot) and CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) to streamline processes and improve lead management.
- Budget Management: Develop and manage the demand generation budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources to maximize impact and achieve targets.
- Industry Trends: Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to continuously improve demand generation strategies and tactics.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
- Start up experience is A MUST! GREAT at execution + building strategy
- 7+ years of experience in demand generation, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Proven experience in a startup environment, with the ability to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic setting.
- Strong analytical skills and a data-driven mindset, with proficiency in using marketing analytics tools.
- Excellent project management skills and attention to detail.
- Deep understanding of B2B marketing and lead generation best practices.
- Experience with marketing automation platforms (e.g., Marketo, HubSpot) and CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce).
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
- Proven ability to develop and manage budgets effectively.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically and creatively.
