Environmental Health & Safety Officer - EHS Specialist / EHS Officer / Li-ion Manufacturing
We are seeking an experienced EHS Officer with a background in the Li-ion battery industry to join our client on a full-time basis in Boston, Massachusetts. The role focuses on creating and sustaining a robust safety culture across all departments.
Our client is transforming Lithium-ion cell manufacturing by offering a more efficient, reliable, and safer production process, accelerating output while reducing the costs of both existing and next-generation cell technologies.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure safe operations in a dynamic R&D and pilot production environment by actively promoting a culture of safety, conducting incident investigations with technical team support, and driving corrective actions through to implementation.
- Lead the development and maintenance of hazardous materials management programs, ensuring full compliance with applicable regulations and operating procedures. Serve as a technical resource for workplace safety, including the safe handling of hazardous materials, chemical hygiene/HAZCOM, OSHA compliance, and other relevant regulations.
Required Skills and Experience:
- 5+ years of directly related work experience.
- Expertise in Lithium-ion manufacturing and Process Safety Management.
- Strong working knowledge of Federal, State, and local regulations, including OSHA, EPA, DEP, and DOT.
