Cresset is looking for Portfolio Specialist (PS) to handle all investment support to the Wealth Advisor(s), “from plan to portfolio to performance”. Wealth Advisors lead in client acquisition and retention through their client/family relationships, COIs and strong knowledge of the industry’s products, solutions and services. Reporting into the Wealth Advisor team(s), the PS will deliver world class investment outcomes to clients utilizing Cresset best practices. We see PS as a long-term core business function, with natural paths into Senior Portfolio Management and/or full-fledged Wealth Advisor roles.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver investment-related presentations to clients and prospects, including deconstruction, proposal, rebalances and quarterly performance reviews
- Implement client portfolios, including modeling, monitoring, phase-in, rebalancing, cash-flows, and margin maintenance
- Develop and maintain investment policy statements (IPS) for every discretionary portfolio
- Review clients’ quarterly performance reports and collaborate with Reporting to identify and resolve issues
- Comply with all client, firm and regulatory requirements
- Collaborate with Manager Research Team to understand vehicle/manager due diligence and quarterly reviews, as well as discovery of new strategies and investment ideas
- Update and Educate Advisor Team of best research ideas and give recommendations for implementation across client portfolios
- Cultivate a strong investment and wealth management acumen across public and private markets, portfolio construction and management, goals-based planning, and basic estate, tax and philanthropic planning
- Innovate, adopt, and spread best practices and technology solutions
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required in Business, Finance or related field; advanced degree(s) a plus
- CFA is a plus; someone who has passed Level I, II, and/or III should still apply if not a CFA at this time
- 3+ years of experience in investment management, investment consulting, or a comparable background
- Coachable with the ability to work in a team environment or independently when necessary
- Trained on industry basics of asset allocation and investments
- Continuous learner, proactive and self-motivated to expand knowledge base
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and engaged listening
- Excellent time management skills including multi-tasking and prioritizing responsibilities
- Exceptional problem-solving capabilities in an entrepreneurial environment
- Demonstrates professional maturity and sound judgment

- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

What We Offer:
At Cresset, we focus on people first. As a service business, our people are our assets. Engaging our clients and employees is our highest priority. Starting base salary range: $100,000 - $150,000. Salary will be based on factors including, but not limited to, experience, licenses/certifications, industry knowledge, and geographic location.
