GENERAL SUMMARY
This position is responsible for providing daily direction and structure to the Rockford site Warranty Repair technicians. The primary objective of the Warranty Department is to assist our customers in meeting their needs in a timely, safe, and cost-effective way. Data response, data collection and record retention are mission critical to this position and will require attention to detail. The position will be required to interface with various software platforms (CDR’s, Citrix/Warranty Claim Tracking, SAP, and others) to maintain records and provide constant feedback to all interested parties.
PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS)
Customers have come to expect some interaction (phone conversations) to discuss product performance so you must feel comfortable with this type of one-on-one interaction. Digital pictures will be a primary tool of this interaction when required.
The Factory Warranty areas will be always maintained and organized (5S). The work area will utilize the FIFO (First In, First Out) concept to process work. Its understood, priorities will drop in from time to time causing a shift in FIFO.
Safety and Quality of work performed is a top priority for the Warranty Department and must be adhered to every day.
This position, at times may assist in the development and maintenance of our domestic and international Service Centers via available technology (Video Conferencing and other means) from the Rockford Plant when required.

- Manage process of continuous improvement of cost, quality, and delivery to improve customer satisfaction.
- Coordinate technical information updates to SAP, Citrix, and Customer Resolution Portal (CDR)
- Provide support to the Technical Services Departments / Warranty Centers as required.
- Perform various data base input and retrieval for tasks related to Return Authorizations and Warranty Claim Tracking
- Manages Warranty Replacement Program and the flow meter repair program.
- Provide Out of Warranty Repair Quotes (investigating product costs and labor to rebuild when required).
- Tear down and assess Hydraulic Technologies products (Power Team, Stone, Bolting, & Hytec)
- Administer policies and procedures timely and consistently to maintain high employee morale.
- Model and promote the HT Leadership Standards to create an environment that mobilizes empowered people to achieve business goals.
What do you need?
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Required
- Must be able to read, write, speak and comprehend English.
- At least 6 months of assembly experience utilizing hand tools and reading / understanding assembly and machining blueprints.
- At least one year of working in hydraulic and electrical assembly in a manufacturing environment.
- Competent in the use of SAP and other types of software.
- Comfortable speaking with HT Customer Service, HT Product Management, Quality and Customers.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred
- College diploma or equivalent.
- Previous Team Leader in a Manufacturing Environment
- Customer Service Experience
- Lean Manufacturing (5s, Process Flow, Data Collection)
