Maintenance Manager – Flooring Industry
Summary: We are looking for an experienced Maintenance Manager with a strong background in the flooring industry to lead and supervise a team maintenance technicians. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of machinery and processes specific to the flooring industry, proficiency in using CMMS and expertise in predictive maintenance. This role will be responsible for ensuring equipment reliability, minimizing downtime, and leading preventive and predictive maintenance initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Leadership:
- Manage, mentor, and lead maintenance technicians.
- Assign tasks, oversee daily operations, and ensure all work is carried out safely and efficiently.
Flooring Industry Equipment Maintenance:
- Oversee maintenance and repair of specialized flooring manufacturing equipment, such as extrusion lines, tufting machines, coating equipment, etc.
- Ensure that all machinery, including motors, pumps, and mechanical systems, are properly maintained and repaired.
- Develop tailored maintenance strategies that address the unique demands of flooring production processes.
- Utilize the CMMS to plan, schedule, and track preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
Predictive and Preventive Maintenance:
- Develop and implement both preventive and predictive maintenance programs to reduce equipment failures and increase uptime.
- Regularly review maintenance schedules and adjust them based on equipment performance, industry standards, and historical data.
Operational Efficiency:
- Work closely with production management to coordinate maintenance activities without disrupting operations.
- Optimize the use of spare parts, materials, and tools, ensuring that critical components are available when needed.
Safety and Compliance:
- Ensure that all maintenance activities are performed in compliance with safety protocols and industry regulations.
- Ensure adherence to environmental, health, and safety standards specific to flooring manufacturing.
Budgeting and Cost Control:
- Manage the maintenance budget, focusing on labor, equipment, materials, and parts.
- Prepare and present reports on key performance metrics, including downtime, maintenance costs, and equipment reliability.
- Implement cost-saving initiatives and strategies to maximize the lifecycle of equipment.
