Job Description
PruTech is seeking a dynamic and experienced Proposal Manager to join our proposal development team responsible for creating and writing proposals for potential clients and employers. The Proposal Manager role involves researching the needs of potential customers, understanding their products, services and environments, and creating proposals that outline how our company can best meet or exceed our client’s expectations. The Proposal Manager serves as the primary communicator across business and technical teams, and leads the preparation of creative, strategic, and compelling proposals with innovative solutions to our clients’ problems. Ultimately, our preferred Proposal Manager will be consistently detail-oriented, a master of managing tasks and excellent contributor to our growing workforce.
Proposal Manager Responsibilities:
- Project manages assigned proposal responses and presentations
- Collaborates with sales professionals and leaders to develop strategies, clear/concise value propositions, format and delivery for proposals and presentations
- Reviews, researches and resolves complex issues pertaining to proposal responses
- Coordinate bid status meetings in accordance with the proposal timelines to report progress
- Develops, reviews and edits Request for Proposal responses, presentations and other marketing and pitch materials and programs for new business development pursuits
- Liaises with executive leadership and sales professionals throughout the process, ensuring clear communication
- Manage re-usable/updated components from the final proposal documents and storing them appropriately in corporate repositories
- Maintain version control of all bid documents;
- Perform proposal closeout activities upon submission
- Update enterprise proposal database with current, accurate proposal information
- Write documents that help with business development
- Edit written documents in a professional and credible manner
- Help create strategies that help with the proposal development
Proposal Manager Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science or other related disciplines.
- 6+ years of proven experience in managing and/or writing proposals.
- 5+ years of experience in technology sales and business development
- Experience and understanding of state and local procurement rules
- Experience with public sector solicitation and procurement processes
- Understand and explain complex technical concepts
- Previous experience in proposal writing may be advantageous.
- Experience with managing publications in technology industry
- Excellent computer and organizational skills, as well as attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines.
- Good strategic planning abilities.
- Write clear and concise proposals.
- Strong research and analytical skills.
