Mechanical Stress Engineer - Space Hardware, Arizona
We are seeking a skilled mechanical stress engineer to lead and manage stress testing for space solar power modules. As part of our Product Team, you will play a key role in ensuring that all components of the solar modules are rigorously tested to meet space mission standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and execute test campaigns based on space environmental, mission, and qualification requirements.
- Develop test procedures for thermal, mechanical, electrical, ESD, and radiation tests.
- Source and manage testing facilities and equipment.
- Perform tests, collect data, and generate detailed reports.
- Oversee test equipment maintenance and manage supplier relationships.
- Collaborate with engineers and technicians to prioritize testing workloads.
Basic Qualifications:
- 5+ years of engineering experience and a bachelor's degree in test engineering, physics, or a related field.
- Hands-on experience with space product testing, including thermal cycling, vibration testing, and end-to-end electrical and mechanical tests.
- Experience with solar power products and technical project management.
