A mechanical contracting company in the metropolitan Detroit area who specializes in Water and Wastewater Treatment Projects is looking to hire a Project Manager. The company has been serving the needs of Southeast Michigan municipalities for over 60 years, maintaining, updating, and providing new process piping and equipment. The company believes in staying local and maintaining our relationships with Owners, Contractors, Subcontractors, Vendors and Staff.
Responsibilities:
Review vendor data and shop drawings for conformance to project plans and specifications
Prepare and manage project schedules and budgets
Maintain relationships with Owners, Contractors, Subcontractors, and Vendors
Timely recognition of project issues
Review drawings and specifications with the project team and highlight any areas of concern
Requirements:
Self-disciplined / motivated individual with strong verbal and written communication skills and solid organization and time management skills
Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and ability to follow through and meet deadlines
Ability to read and understand plans, specifications, and schedules
Ability to organize and prioritize multiple project tasks and respond to client requests
Knowledge of construction and scheduling techniques
Civil, Mechanical or Electrical Licensed Professional Engineer or Engineer-In-Training working towards PE License
