Contracts and Grants Administrator
Our client, a prestigious academic institution and research facility, is seeking a detail-oriented Contracts and Grants Administrator to oversee financial analysis, cost projections, and fiscal control for research projects. This role will be pivotal in ensuring compliance with funding agency requirements and internal policies, while optimizing financial processes and reporting capabilities.

Focus:
- Conduct financial analysis, develop accurate cost projections, and maintain robust fiscal tracking systems to fulfill reporting requirements.
- Manage project activities within the institution’s financial management system, including processing modifications, fund releases, and transfers.
- Ensure expenditures and payments are allocated correctly to specific projects and comply with agency and award stipulations.
- Facilitate timely adjustments of expenses between projects to optimize fund utilization and maintain compliance.
- Prepare comprehensive financial reports and documentation for internal and external stakeholders, ensuring accuracy and regulatory compliance.
- Collaborate closely with research teams, administrators, and funding agencies to resolve financial issues and ensure smooth project operations.
- Maintain meticulous records of financial transactions and support audits as necessary.
Skill Set:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
- 2+ years of relevant experience, ideally within a research or academic environment.
- Proficiency in financial management systems and advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
- Strong knowledge of federal regulations and guidelines governing grant funding (e.g., NIH, NSF).
- Excellent attention to detail, analytical skills, and ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with a proven ability to interact professionally with diverse stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and make decisions aligned with organizational policies and procedures.
