Position: Civil/Structural Engineer
Overview:
An esteemed client of ours is seeking a skilled Civil/Structural Engineer to join their team. The selected candidate will be responsible for providing engineering design and technical support, working closely with a dedicated team of engineers. This role demands adherence to project schedules and deadlines, ensuring the successful delivery of quality engineering solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Adhere to project schedules and meet deadlines.
- Review and familiarize yourself with approved design criteria and codes.
- Define project scope and deliverables clearly.
- Create and review design-specific calculations.
- Prepare reports detailing design criteria or equipment analysis.
- Interact with clients to discuss project status and deliverables.
- Travel to client sites for meetings or to gather project information.
Education, Experience, and Skills:
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering; licensure is not required.
- Ability to read and interpret drawings for review and reference.
- 3 to 5+ years of experience utilizing civil/structural engineering principles.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and SolidWorks; familiarity with STAAD software.
- Knowledge of applicable codes (e.g., Technical Report No. 13, CMAA, AIST TR-6, AISC) and other regulations and industrial standards.
- Prior experience working within heavy industrial manufacturing facilities.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand or sit for extended periods.
- Capability to walk around industrial manufacturing facilities, including climbing stairs and walking on platforms.
- Willingness to travel by car or air to client sites.
- Possession of a valid driver’s license for travel utilizing a company car or rental vehicle.
- Ability to work in various climates, including exposure to hot and cold environments.
