General Purpose
The purpose of this position is to manage user adoption and business readiness activities for the Berkshire Hathaway Energy asset and work management center of excellence. This person is responsible for ensuring successful user adoption of new tools, processes, and enhancements. This includes support for both Business Transformation project team and end-user needs across Berkshire Hathaway Energy companies. This manager will be critical in crafting and delivering strategy, approach, process, procedures, guidelines, governance, training, and support throughout the lifecycle of the project and beyond deployment. This manager is also responsible for providing hands-on assistance to utility staff with real-world evaluation, adoption and feedback on best practices. This includes helping with the integration of new ideas into existing process and procedures, new tool adoption, best practice training, and root-cause identification of the real-world challenges of end users. This role functions as a bridge between theoretically good ideas and practical implementation. It requires a customer service mindset, a proactive approach to exploring root cause hypothesis, and a passion for mentoring others to do the same.
Responsibilities• Facilitate User Adoption of Best Practices and Tools for Utility Asset Maintenance and Operations
o Manage creation of end-user enablement strategy and approach.
o Assist utilities with the integration of new ideas into existing processes.
o Assist utilities with the implementation of behavioral change strategies.
o Support all asset and work management related activities for the organization.
• Champion Best Practice Training Across All Affiliates
o Conduct annual and ongoing training needs assessment meetings to determine end-user learning needs, and required resources.
o Coordinate and participate in the creation and delivery of learning materials.
o Manage initiative-specific bootcamps (virtual, live instructor-led training opportunities).
o Manage ongoing communication and follow-up training activities to maintain user adoption long-term.
o Act as a lead/expert in the work group; train and mentor asset management managers, engineers, and technicians in deploying best practices.
• Hands-on Asset and Work Management Support
o Assist users with the integration of new tools, processes, and methodologies into their daily activities.
o Assist with development of financial value quantification to guide operation and maintenance investment decisions.
o Assist with adoption of work management, data collection, and system operation tools across utilities.
o Assist with development of asset performance assessments across utilities to identify major issues, risks and leading indicators.
o Develop recommended process documentation in collaboration with multiple utilities.
• Establish Dynamic User Communities for Sharing and Support
o Identify and establish asset and work management communities of practice that would benefit from a stronger support network.
o Develop, implement, socialize and refine ongoing user enablement goals to provide structure and direction for community interaction.
o Facilitate collaborative discussions involving multiple utilities and disciplines to share, develop and critique best practices.
o Provide hands-on assistance to individual utility staff encountering real-world challenges with new tools and approaches.
o Partner with change enablement teams to assemble a network of individuals to support and champion learning and change components across all affiliates.
• User Adoption Reporting
o Define Key Performance Indicator metrics for end-user enablement.
o Compile and present metrics on user adoption.
Requirements• Bachelor's degree in engineering, technology, project management, data science, marketing, organizational development, or a related field; or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
• A minimum of five years’ experience in electric utility power business, construction, or related professional experience.
• Proficient with the use of personal computers.
• Periodic travel to provide in-person support and training.
Preferences- Field work or planning experience for power line, substation, generation, or pipeline equipment maintenance, a plus but not required.
- Demonstrated knowledge or interest in analytics software such as Power BI, Python, Dax, R, Machine Learning.
- Practical experience with adult learning strategy and development methodologies.

This position is eligible for an annual discretionary performance incentive bonus of up to 15.00% of salary.
