Off-grid communication network startup seeking Senior Android Developer
Our startup client is developing off-grid communications technology (software + solar-powered hardware) for Adventurers, Firefighters, DoD, Rescue Operations, and more. They're currently in need of a fully remote Senior Android Engineer to join their team and help scale their product. There is so much opportunity for an established Android Engineer to build new cutting-edge software (that saves lives!) and be part of a company that already has a lot of momentum. Kotlin experts with SDK and device experience (custom hardware, satellite technology, Bluetooth, sensors, etc.) are highly preferred.
An ideal candidate will have the following:
- 8 years Android development experience
- Experience bringing new features from concept to shipped product
- Background with SDK, IoT, hardware devices, Bluetooth
- Demonstrated experience building Mobile Apps with modern Android Technologies (Kotlin, KMP, Coroutines, Jetpack Compose)
- Startup company experience is a big plus
- BS degree in CS, Mathematics, or other STEM discipline
- Strong communication skills
- Collaborative mindset
