Centurion is hiring a Executive Assistant to support one of our clients in the Plum Island area.
Description Details:
- PIADC requires administrative assistance at the executive and program management levels. The Center Director’s Office is led by the facility’s Center Director, who is currently an SES federal employee.
- Reporting to the Center Director are the Director of Science, the Director of Operations and the Director of Biorisk Management.
- The Center Director is responsible for oversight of the facility and all its programs and policies, for ensuring fulfillment of the DHS mission and for ensuring the safety and welfare of PIADC’s people, laboratory animals, Select Agents and property.
- The Office of the DHS PIADC Center Director and the Directors of all of the branches under its aegis require executive administrative assistance in fulfilling their individual responsibilities.
- The DHS PIADC Facility Operations Branch, which falls under the auspices of the Director of Operations and is currently comprised of a Supervisor and three Facility Operations Specialists, requires administrative assistance in compiling and objectively analyzing assessments of the qualitative performance of the Center-Wide Support Program (CWSP) contractor.
- The Government requires assistance with acquisition-sensitive and other activities best performed by a neutral, conflict of interest-free party outside the CWSP, as well as with scientific activities such as the preparation of scientific manuscripts, journal articles, etc.
- The Contractor shall provide resources capable of working in a fast paced and broad based technical, managerial and administrative environment with excellent skills in all core Microsoft Office applications.
Requirements:
- The Contractor shall: - Plan and manage all necessary administrative functions for the Center Director, the Director of Operations, the Director of Science and the Director of Biorisk Management
- Assist the Facility Operations Branch in compiling and objectively analyzing assessments of the qualitative performance of the CWSP contractor
- Assist the DHS Directors, the Facility Operations Branch and other federal DHS staff with acquisition-sensitive and other similar activities requiring neutral, conflict of interest-free engagement
- Conduct documentation planning, development and support
- Edit/format documents
- Document and process visitor requests and assist in logistical planning for their visits
- Provide executive secretarial support
- Provide general office support
- Assist with meeting and event planning and administration
- Assist with project planning, implementation and administration
- Assist with developing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Assist with activities relating to the preparation of scientific manuscripts, journal articles, etc.
- Provide mail services
- Provide travel coordination
- Assist with records retention, disposition, destruction and other records management processes, as per official guidelines, under close federal oversight;
- Input data
- Provide back-up/bench depth as needed to other administrative support staff under this task order
- Provide bench-depth capabilities with public affairs-related activities, such as the coordination of community and other events and crisis communications, etc.
- Provide other assistance, as needed. Educational and LCAT Requirements: Employees are required to have a minimum of a two-year degree from an accredited college/university and one year of related work experience.
