Mechanical Project Engineer - Direct Hire
A developer/manufacturing of extrusion products in the Covington, Georgia area is currently seeking for a Mechanical Project Engineer. This is a direct hire opportunity!
Responsibilities of the Mechanical Project Engineer:
- Manage capital projects range in value from $10k to $1M+.
- Responsible for supporting the initial project preparation including justification, safety analysis, detailed design, either directly or through interaction with contract engineers, and assuring compliance with codes and standards.
- Completion of detailed design and project approval, the Mechanical Project Engineer will procure materials and equipment and help select contractors to install new assets.
- This position will be responsible for the supervision of construction activities assuring a safe and successful installation.
- Once construction is completed, this person will be an active member of the team through commissioning and start-up.
- This position will require hands-on participation throughout the life of the project.
Qualifications of the Mechanical Project Engineer:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering & 3+ years of experience in Project Engineering
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Solidworks
- Industrial Process System Design (piping, tanks, process equipment selection and installation plans)
- Process and Instrumentation Diagram (P&ID) creation
- Hands-on Mechanical (Welding, Machining, etc.)
