GENERAL POSITION SUMMARY:
The Civil Superintendent is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all civil construction activities
on-site to ensure the timely and efficient completion of the project. This role requires experience in
managing civil works, including earth works, road construction, drainage systems, and foundations,
while ensuring adherence to safety standards, quality, budget, and schedule. The Superintendent
will work closely with project management, subcontractors, engineers, and other on-site personnel
to facilitate the smooth execution of construction activities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following (Other duties may be assigned):
• Oversee and manage on-site civil construction activities, including grading, trenching,
foundation work, road construction, and drainage installations
• Develop daily, weekly, and monthly work plans in collaboration with the project manager to
meet project schedules and milestones
• Ensure efficient use of manpower, equipment, and materials, coordinating with procurement
and logistics teams as needed
• Review and understand civil design drawings and specifications, ensuring that construction
activities adhere to the plans
• Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and address any issues or delays
• Provide guidance and direction to subcontractors, ensuring work quality and safety
• Enforce strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental standards on-site
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory and permitting requirements
• Ensure that all civil construction work is performed to the highest quality standards, as per
design specifications and engineering requirements
• Conduct regular inspections and audits to verify work quality and resolve any non-conformance
issues
• Maintain accurate records of work performed, inspections, and material testing results
• Serve at the primary point of contact for civil construction activities, facilitating communication
between on-site teams, engineers, and project management
• Attend and contribute to project meetings, providing updates on progress, challenges, and
solutions
• Collaborate with electrical and mechanical superintendents to ensure smooth integration of
civil works with other construction activities
• Track material usage and waste, optimizing resources to minimize costs
• Valid drivers license
MINIMUM EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
• Proven 3-5 years’ experience in civil construction, preferable in solar farm construction
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, standards, and regulations related to civil
works
