Position Overview: We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Psychotherapist to join our collaborative team at the Integrated Health Clinic. As a Psychotherapist, you will play a vital role in delivering brief therapy, supportive counseling, and behavioral modification interventions to individuals seeking assistance with health and mental health concerns within a primary care setting. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team of medical professionals and care managers to provide comprehensive and integrated care to our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct brief therapy sessions to address mental health concerns such as anxiety, depression, stress, and trauma within the primary care setting.
- Provide supportive counseling to individuals experiencing emotional distress, interpersonal difficulties, or life transitions.
- Utilize evidence-based interventions and behavioral modification techniques to improve health literacy and promote treatment compliance among clients.
- Collaborate with primary care physicians, nurse practitioners, physician’s assistants, psychiatrists, and other healthcare providers to develop integrated treatment plans tailored to each client's unique needs.
- Participate in multidisciplinary case conferences and treatment team meetings to discuss client progress, coordinate care, and ensure continuity of services.
- Conduct brief presenting problem focused assessments and screenings to identify mental health issues, substance use disorders, and social determinants of health impacting overall well-being.
- Offer psychoeducation to clients and their families on mental health topics, coping strategies, and self-care practices to enhance resilience and promote wellness.
- Document client interactions, treatment plans, and progress notes in accordance with agency policies and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards in all aspects of service delivery.
- Adherence to Clinical Hours of Experience supervision schedule, protocols and allowed scope fo practice under direction of a Licensed Behavioral Health Provider.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree or higher in counseling, social work or a related field from an accredited institution; AND
- Current licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Psychotherapist in the state of California (LMFT, LPCC, LCSW) OR Registration in good standing with the Board of Behavioral Sciences as an Associate, and successful completion of credentialing with IHC payors.
- Experience providing therapy and counseling services to individuals with diverse backgrounds and presenting concerns.
- Knowledge of evidence-based practices in psychotherapy, behavioral health, and integrated care models.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the capacity to convey complex information in a clear and concise manner.
- Proficiency in electronic health record systems and documentation procedures preferred.
- Bilingual/Bi-Cultural Preferred

Starting pay: $38 - $41/hour Associate level
