Position Summary
The Manager, Automation & Power will lead the efforts for the company with the opportunity to grow a team to current business needs and strategize for future growth. This role involves managing a team of electrical engineers and technicians, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and optimizing the performance of electrical infrastructure. You will be responsible for overseeing the design, implementation, and maintenance of electrical systems and power distribution networks within the organization. This person will lead and provide multidisciplinary support, project coordination and general expertise regarding instrumentation, PLCs as well as SCADA. Compensation commensurate with experience. This role will report directly to the SVP Operations and be based out of Midland, Texas with expected travel to other company sites and areas of operations.

Oversee the design, planning, and execution of electrical projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required standards.

Qualifications:
Minimum 3 years of Supervisory experience leading teams of programmers and operators, and experience in managing large-scale electrical projects.
Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Computer Science or related field.
Experience managing projects and implementations.
Worked as a programmer in SCADA and DCS Systems.
Worked as a systems integrator using Ignition, Wonderware, Simatic, iFIX and or Intellution.
Participated in PHAs, HAZOPs and PSSRs
Strong knowledge of electrical systems, power distribution, and control systems.
Proficiency in using electrical design software (e.g., AutoCAD, ETAP).
Familiarity with industry standards and regulations (e.g., NEC, NFPA, IEEE).
Strong project management skills, with experience in budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.
Strong leadership, communication, and team management
Skills to adapt in a fast-paced environment where change is constant.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Able to travel to various field sites.
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree in electrical engineering or a related field
Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification
Proficient in Allen Bradley RSLogix-5000
Knowledge and application of various communication protocols including Modbus, Profibus, etc.
I&E certification or comparable experience
