ResponsibilitiesSCA Health is currently seeking a Payer Analytics Analyst to join the Payer Analytics Team.
We are seeking a candidate who:
- Has a demonstrated analytical ability
- Has an aptitude for understanding, utilizing and building complex formulas
This position will be remote with some travel.
Responsibilities:
- Partner with contract negotiators to identify key variables and preliminary strategies for upcoming negotiations, then generate accurate and instructive analytical models that reflect these inputs
- Collaborate with regional business development leaders to evaluate potential acquisitions, using a combination of external and internal claims data
- Support cross-functional team members with development, implementation, and maintenance of operational reports and analytical dashboards
- Help design and implement improvements to established or proposed reimbursement process flows to maximize potential revenue
- Develop effective quality control processes to ensure data integrity
- Assist in building the Managed Care budget for future years together with Payer Engagement contract negotiators.
- Periodically review and provide guidance on facility charge masters
- Review claims data to ensure accurate and adequate payment
- Ask thoughtful questions about execution and business context across different lanes
- Present ideas and participate in meetings - Actively seek new opportunities to contribute
- Uphold and practice the principles and policies of the SCA Compliance program
Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or related field
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Healthcare or related field
- Travel to health plan meetings, company meetings, center visits, etc. (10%)
- Proficient in Excel and experience with SQL and Tableau a plus
- Acute attention to detail and strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills including the ability to communicate results of data analysis to a variety of stakeholders
