Position Overview:
As a Commercial Construction Project Manager, you will play a critical role in leading construction initiatives, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will coordinate a multidisciplinary team of professionals and apply your extensive knowledge of construction methodologies to achieve outstanding results. Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with engineers, architects, and stakeholders to establish project specifications.
- Negotiate contracts with vendors to secure favorable agreements.
- Obtain necessary permits and licenses from relevant authorities.
- Assess and allocate resources (manpower, equipment, materials) while adhering to budget constraints.
- Plan construction operations and schedule project phases to meet deadlines.
- Monitor inventory of equipment and materials to prevent shortages.
- Hire and oversee contractors and staff, clearly defining responsibilities.
- Supervise laborers and mechanics, providing guidance as needed.
- Evaluate project progress and prepare comprehensive reports.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety standards, addressing any issues promptly.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Construction Project Manager in a commercial setting.
- Deep understanding of construction procedures, materials, and project management principles.
- Familiarity with quality standards and health and safety regulations.
- Proficient in MS Office and construction/project management software.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Exceptional organizational and time-management abilities.
- Strong leadership skills and a collaborative team player.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in grocery construction is a plus.
- Bilingual English and Spanish
