Job Title: Associate Process Planner
Job Location: North Berwick, Maine
Job Overview:
The Process Planner is responsible for developing and implementing manufacturing processes that meet production requirements, while ensuring efficiency, quality, and safety standards are met. This role involves analyzing manufacturing processes, identifying areas of improvement, and designing new processes to optimize production output.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze existing assembly processes and identify areas for improvement
- Design and develop new manufacturing processes and procedures to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and improve quality
- Develop and maintain process documentation, including work instructions, standard operating procedures, and process flow diagrams
- Ensure that all processes are compliant with relevant regulations, including health and safety standards and environmental regulations
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including engineering, production, and quality assurance, to identify and address process-related issues
- Develop and implement process monitoring systems to track production performance and identify opportunities for improvement
- Develop and deliver training programs to ensure that all staff are trained on relevant manufacturing processes
- Provide technical support to production teams to troubleshoot process-related issues
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, technologies, and best practices related to manufacturing processes
Work Experience
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing or related field
- 3-5 years of experience in a process planning or manufacturing engineering role
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Experience with computer-aided design (CAD) software and process simulation tools
- Strong project management skills
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to manufacturing processes and environmental regulations.
