We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to help design, implement, and optimize database solutions. The position will be designing an on prem move of SQL/SSIS data analytics platform to Snowflake in the cloud. This is an onsite/hybrid permanent position in the Raleigh/Durham area. Responsibilities:
- Design and implement scalable efficient data pipelines to support various data driven initializes.
- Build reusable data solutions
- Rewrite and optimize sql queries to improve execution times and reduce resource consumption, ensure efficient data retrieval and manipulations
- Create n maintain technical specification documents for Snowflake.
- Document database design, optimization strategies and procedures
- Demonstration technical leadership
- Collaborate with cross functional teams
- Contribute to data modernization efforts by leveraging cloud solutions
- Ensure data integrity and security
Qualifications:
- 7+ years of hands on experience designing, migrating, and implementing enterprise data platforms
- 5+ years with data warehousing
- Strong understanding of Kimball style dimensional models data architecture, and db design
- Mastery of sql, python and snowflake
- Azure experience a huge plus
- Expert with data and analytics , dimensional model, etl, data collection and transformation
- Knowledge of machine learning
