Job Summary: The CFO/Controller is the financial expert who supports The Driver Provider by leading and managing our accounting and finance departments, and is responsible for the establishing the measures and understanding of the company's financial health.
Essential Job Functions
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be an experienced, expert level group and function leader and manager with transportation or complex hospitality experience space with a deep and broad background in leading diverse teams of financial professionals. The successful incumbent will be a seasoned, polished, innovative professional and inspirational leader of people as well as an experienced financial leader and strategist, and perform at a high level of efficiency and effectiveness on a consistent basis.
- Accounting: Oversees accounting systems, policies, procedures, and operations. This includes managing the accounting, payroll, accounts payable, and accounts receivable departments.
- Financial reporting: Prepares financial reports and statements, and coordinates the annual audit process.
- Budgeting: Manages the budget process, including preparing budgets, forecasting, and analyzing variances.
- Financial analysis: Conducts financial analysis to identify trends, efficiencies, and areas for cost reduction.
- Financial decisions: Guides the company's financial decisions, and works with the executive team.
- Regulatory reporting & compliance: Oversees regulatory reporting, including tax planning and compliance. Directs, responds to and participates in audits as needed.
- Staff management: Hires, trains, and retains accounting staff.
- Internal controls: Develops and monitors internal financial controls and procedures.
- The Controller must be proficient in relevant accounting standards and requirements, such as GAAP, International Financial Reporting Standards, and SEC financial reporting regulations and also has strong interpersonal and communication skills, and be able to translate complex financial concepts to individuals at all levels.
- Develop the Financial strategy and Operational metrics in collaboration with executive team and leads the operations to execution, with an eye towards sustainable, diverse customers and long-term success.
- Establishes, implements and achieve group metrics and reporting functions considering best practices in accounting and finance.
- Collaborate with other leaders to achieve and surpass company revenue goals and customer service objectives.
- Ensure that team scorecards are focused and effective.
- Comply with applicable regulatory policies and safety best practices.
- Promote a culture of service excellence utilizing regular training, audits, and reports.
- Manage day-to-day operational challenges in a fluid service environment.

Experience and Education
- BS in Accounting or Finance required
- CPA, strongly preferred
- MBA strongly preferred
- Minimum of 4 years’ experience in a related industry role at the leadership level Controller or above
- Minimum of 3 years’ progressive experience as a team or group manager
Knowledge of:
- Expert level knowledge of GAAP and Accounting principles
- Expert level knowledge of financial measures and metrics
- Expert level experience using reporting and analysis tools
- Expert level skills with Excel and data manipulation tools
- Senior level MS Office and related communication tool, e.g. Word, Calendar, meeting tools
Skills in:
- Excellent written & oral communication skills
- Ability to translate data and reporting into understandable information as well as actionable plans and recommendations
- Excellent ability to work as a leader as well as part of a leadership team
Physical Working Conditions:
Position would spend time in an office setting and movement through repair facilities, in the field and in vehicles. Office work may require prolonged sitting, standing, walking, kneeling, squatting and stooping in the performance of daily activities. Field work would require the ability to work outside in various weather conditions and actively in a provided vehicle. Work in repair facilities or depots may require walking on uneven surfaces, entering and debarking from vehicles, and changes in temperature and noise levels. The position may also require the ability to lift, drag and push files, paper and documents weighing up to 35 pounds.
Special Requirements: (1) Must be willing and able to travel to and attend training and meetings within or outside the boundaries of the home area; (2) Must be willing and able to work outside regular business hours and on occasional weekends, attending meetings, etc. as needed.
