Position Overview
The Internal Communications and Media Intern will support the internal communications team in enhancing team member engagement and promoting a positive organizational culture. This role involves assisting in the creation, distribution, and management of internal communications materials across various platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Content Creation: Assist in writing, editing, and proofreading internal newsletters, announcements, presentations for KGTV and other communication materials to ensure clarity and alignment with company messaging.
- Media Management: Help maintain the internal media library, including images, videos, and documents that support communication initiatives.
- Event Coordination: Support the planning and execution of events such as roundtables and team member appreciation activities to foster community within the organization, as well as support the External Affairs team with external tours or PR interviews.
- Research & Analysis: Conduct research on best practices in internal communications and analyze team member feedback to improve communication strategies.
- Human Resources Support: Collaborate with Human Resources team on graphic creation and LinkedIn posting strategies for community and candidate engagement.
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field with a minimum 3.0 institutional GPA.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with graphic design tools (e.g. Photoshop, Premier, etc.) is a plus.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks.
- Must be able to work a minimum of 15 hours per week.
