Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, The Director, FP&A is responsible for developing greater visibility into operational and financial performance, creating the tools, analysis and reports that provide the insight the management team and organization need to keep the business operating at peak performance.
Responsibilities Include but Are Not Limited To:
- Financial Data Analysis: Collect, organize, and analyze financial data from various sources such as financial statements, reports, budgets, and economic trends.
- Forecasting and Budgeting: Assist in preparing financial forecasts and the annual budget, projecting future revenues, expenses, and profitability. Work closely with the commercial team to develop detailed sales plans.
- Financial Modeling: Develop and maintain financial models to evaluate different scenarios, perform sensitivity analysis, and assess potential risks and opportunities.
- Performance Monitoring: Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial metrics to monitor the company's financial performance against goals and benchmarks.
- Investment Analysis: Evaluate investment opportunities, assess the potential returns and risks of various projects, and provide recommendations for capital allocation.
- Pricing and Profitability analysis: Provide insights and guidance on pricing strategies and profitability to drive business growth and enhance financial performance.
- M&A Support: Support buy side and sell side due diligence efforts. Support acquisition integration.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and present financial reports to management, shareholders, or other stakeholders, conveying financial performance, analysis, and recommendations.
- Cost Analysis: Conduct cost analysis, including leading the company’s ongoing standard costing process, to improve product category- and SKU-level margin visibility, optimize resource allocation, and improve efficiency.
- Decision Support: Collaborate with the CFO, executive management and other departments to provide financial insights, develop ad hoc reporting, and support strategic decision-making.
- Continuous Improvement: Suggest and implement process improvements to enhance financial analysis procedures and reporting accuracy.
Required Skills:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance or related field
- Advanced Microsoft Excel & PowerPoint skills. Business Intelligence (BI), Access or analytics software skills a plus
- On site is required
- Manufacturing experience is a must
- Highly analytical and proficient at aggregating, organizing, summarizing, and presenting large sums of data
- Detail-oriented, organized, and motivated self-starter
- Strong written and oral communication skills
