OR Nursing Manager
Location: Bridgewater, NJ
Employment Type: Full-time, Tuesday-Thursday, 7am-6pm (No Weekends)
Salary: $55.00 - $60.00 per hour

About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated OR Nurse Manager to join our Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) in Somerset County. In this key leadership role, you will manage and oversee the operating room nursing staff and operations, ensuring that patient care is delivered with the highest level of professionalism and efficiency. You will collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and our team of ASC specialists to optimize surgical outcomes and provide an exceptional patient experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the nursing team, promoting a culture of excellence, teamwork, and professionalism.
- Oversee all patient care activities, ensuring adherence to established protocols and best practices.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care to achieve optimal outcomes.
- Ensure safe, high-quality patient care throughout the pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative phases.
- Provide guidance and support to nursing staff, especially in complex patient care situations.
- Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with the latest nursing practices and advancements.
- Assist in setting and reviewing goals and objectives in collaboration with the Director of Nursing.
- Monitor compliance with regulatory standards, including OSHA, HIPAA, and AAAHC.
- Foster a proactive approach to patient safety, identifying and mitigating potential risks.
- Manage surgical schedules to optimize OR utilization, improve efficiency, and reduce turnaround times.
- Work with procurement to ensure adequate inventory of surgical supplies and equipment.
- Oversee staffing schedules, ensuring proper coverage and efficient resource utilization.
- Perform daily/monthly Environment of Care (EOC) checklists, ensuring all protocols are followed.

- Strong clinical expertise in perioperative nursing, surgical procedures, sterile techniques, and infection control.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities, fostering teamwork, and providing effective guidance and support to the nursing team.
- Proven operational management skills, including patient flow, scheduling, and resource management in an OR setting.
- Commitment to quality assurance and regulatory compliance, including documentation, infection control, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with patients, surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Commitment to staff development, including performance evaluations and continuing education.
Qualifications:
- Current New Jersey State Nursing License.
- Bachelor’s or Associate degree in Nursing.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in perioperative nursing with progressive leadership responsibilities.
