The Global Trade Compliance Manager will be an outstanding professional with strong analytical ability and demonstrable experience in managing compliance resources across multiple businesses and jurisdictions. The Global Trade Compliance Manager should not only be a first-rate specialist but also possess the commercial savvy, appetite, and personality to become proactively involved in a wide range of business issues. The successful candidate will be a highly proficient professional who can inspire change across a geographically diverse team and further develop and upskill the team. The Global Trade Compliance Manager will be an authority in leading compliance resources across multiple jurisdictions. An ideal candidate will be a team builder, executor, collaborator and an agent of change.
How you will do it
- Lead, with the global team, the global Strategy for Trade Compliance
- Develop, implement, and maintain policies and guidelines to safeguard compliance with applicable Global Trade Compliance regulations
- Develop performance KPIs and measurement processes
- Manage import compliance, supply chain security, export control and sanctions incidents in a dynamic environment.
- Participate in and support strategic projects (including M&A transactions) with relevant compliance input, evaluation, and investigation (due diligence).
- Develop and implement automated process tools where applicable, to ensure consistency and compliance
- Ensure brokerage partners have standardized operating procedures and provide outstanding service at competitive prices
- Develop, nurture, and enable a successful compliance team with a diverse membership. Mentor and develop the team to transform the compliance function as an outstanding organization.
- Additional duties assigned by management.
What we look for
- Bachelor’s degree (international trade, law, tax, business economics), Master's Preferred, Licensed Customs Broker, CUSECO or CES certifications, or commensurate experience.
- 8 years’ experience in a multinational environment (multi-national corporation, consultancy firm, law firm, government, etc.)
- Experience with Trade Compliance audit programs.
- Understanding of supply chain security certifications, such as OEA and CTPAT.
- Able to lead a team in a multi-cultural, fast-paced environment.
- Spanish proficiency preferred.
