Livelong Media Writer /Editorial Assistant Position
LivelongMedia.com seeks an entry-level writer/editorial assistant to join our team. This role involves supporting the editorial process, writing submissions, and assisting with content development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Write a twice-weekly newsletter on health and wellness.
- Assist in editing and proofreading content for clarity and coherence.
- Conduct research and fact-checking.
- Understanding of core journalistic principles and writing style.
- Work with systems admin, advertising, and marketing managers to fulfill brand goals and initiatives.
- Identify and promote partnership and ad-generating opportunities.
- Write with the proper tone and voice to maintain core audience engagement and relationship.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in journalism, English, writing or related field.
- Strong writing and editing skills.
- Proficiency in editing software.
- Excellent organizational abilities.
- Experience in health journalism (optional but encouraged).
Details
The writer reports to Livelong Editor, Erin Hunter.
90-day contract with opportunity to convert to full-time employment, after reviewing work.
$4,000 a month.
