The primary function of the Toyota Certified Trainer (TCT) is to train and prepare technicians to perform proficient repair of equipment we service in a safe manner. Will be responsible for evaluating technicians, create training schedule and coordinate use of equipment for training purposes. Track, maintain and report technical course completion percentage and personnel performance information. This opportunity represents Shoppa’s Material Handling and requires professionalism, strong communication skills, attention to detail, great attitude, and ability to facilitate training at all levels.
Essential Functions:
- Provide technician technical material handling training.
- Ability to provide technical assistance to technicians when they have trouble with any phase of their training.
- Monitor and report technician completion of Bronze, Silver and Gold certifications.
- Assemble, update and distribute repair manuals and related material.
- Provide assistance to technicians by answering calls or inquiries to field and shop technicians
- Assist dispatch, parts department, and sales in learning equipment.
- Continuously learn new products to update or improve training courses for technicians.
- Create schedules, summit PIN numbers, delete & add new employees to manufacturer’s online portals and learning management systems and report student activities.
- Maintain company learning management system status on all employees.
- Travel to branches for training of technicians
- Attend training at various equipment manufacturers.
- Travel to customer locations when needed to assist technicians with repairs.

Educational/Experience Requirements:
Minimum of high school diploma; 5+ years of technician experience or performing work on material handling equipment or heavy industrial equipment required. Knowledge of hydraulics and electrical theory required. Minimum of Master Bronze Certification level. Experience as a trainer preferred. Requires strong interpersonal skills, the ability to work well with others and possess the mechanical aptitude to facilitate training at various learning levels. Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
