CV Advisors is a Family Office and SEC Registered Investment Adviser based in Miami, Florida. We are an independently owned firm dedicated to providing investment advice to a select group of families and institutions in the US and internationally.
The Firm is seeking exceptional candidates for the full-time position of Associate Portfolio Manager, reporting to the firm’s portfolio management team. This person will support one of the firm’s four Portfolio Managers in the coordinated delivery of services to our ultra-high net worth and institutional clients. The Associate PM will help the PM with both investment and administrative processes. Related tasks will involve client contact, the development and implementation of investment plans, management of internal firm resources and routine interaction with key counterparties. Suitable candidates must be meticulous, intelligent, humble, discrete, and inquisitive with a strong foundation in investment concepts. The Associate PM will have observer status on the firm’s Investment Committee. Extensive training will be provided. This position offers an exceptional long term growth opportunity with the company.
A partial list of the Associate’s responsibilities includes:
- Support the Portfolio Manager in all areas to provide exceptional service to clients and counterparties.
- Prepare investment plans with PM guidance for individual client portfolios based on client requirements, cash availability, etc.
- Work with the PM, Operations team and external counterparties to develop and monitor execution of trades and monitor PM’s trade pipeline on ongoing basis.
- Support PM’s client and counterparty communication to make certain all inquiries and requests are responded to efficiently and accurately.
- Coordinate internal CV resources including Client Services, Research, Operations, etc. to provide maximum leverage to PM’s time and to make certain that client needs are met.
Position requirements include:
- 5+ years work experience in financial services required (private banking, buy-side analyst, client services, investment adviser or related role).
- An undergraduate degree in business, finance, economics, or related degree required.
- Strong knowledge of Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
- Superb organizational, project management and interpersonal skills.
- Extreme attention to detail.
- Truly bilingual candidates (English and Spanish) preferred, both written and verbal.
