Summary:
A DCF Navigator/Child Protective Investigator is responsible for investigating allegations of child abuse, neglect, or abandonment and ensuring child safety. Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct investigations of child abuse, neglect, and abandonment cases.
- Interview children, families, and relevant parties to assess the situation.
- Develop safety plans and ensure the immediate well-being of children.
- Collaborate with social services, law enforcement, healthcare professionals, and legal entities.
- Document case findings and maintain detailed records in compliance with state regulations.
- Provide guidance to families on available support resources, such as foster care and adoption services.
- Monitor ongoing cases, ensuring compliance with child welfare plans.
- Testify in court as necessary, presenting case details and recommendations.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, or related field.
