Responsibilities
The Sales Platform team is looking for a Sr. Instructional Designer to develop and execute long-term training curriculum for the Sales Platform and ensure alignment of Sales Platform curriculum with existing enterprise Sales and Technical Sales curriculum. This position is located at Altec’s Corporate Office in Birmingham, AL.
PURPOSE OF POSITION:
Develops and executes long-term training curriculum for the Sales Platform, and ensures alignment of Sales Platform curriculum with existing enterprise Sales and Technical Sales curriculum. Meets requests for on-demand Sales Platform Q&A. Develops a strategy for supporting all Altec business units to realize the full benefits of the Sales Platform.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develops and optimizes a training curriculum for enterprise account management teams on Salesforce, collaborating with end users and subject matter experts to meet training and performance support needs.Understands user stories and business requests to prepare change management content, delivery options, and release timelines for Sales Platform enhancements.Creates efficient, effective, and engaging learning activities, course content, and job aids, while maintaining training records, running reports, and scheduling appropriate training activities.Completes the full training cycle using Altec’s 4D Training Development method (Define, Design, Develop, and Deliver) to achieve measurable results.Proposes appropriate content formats, designs content to meet course objectives or business goals, and promotes total associate involvement by soliciting input, participation, and feedback from SMEs, end users, and management.Participates in RCI events, local, and corporate initiative meetings to assist with training needs, and assesses performance to ensure training solutions support business goals.Collaborates with other instructional design team members, reviews and approves instructional design work, and may lead in-person or online classes within their expertise.Leads performance analysis/follow-up efforts, identifies training and development needs, and participates in curriculum development and decision-making with instructional designers and management to execute long-term training plans.Coordinates with all of Altec’s training teams to ensure the same message is being communicated in other areas of training if the same subject is being discussed.
Minimum Qualifications
