Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate across departments, including procurement, distribution, and management, to ensure smooth operations.
- Achieve production goals and implement cost control measures.
- Review staff performance and provide necessary coaching and interventions for improvement.
- Maintain accurate production reports and ensure adherence to safety standards.
- Ensure that all products meet quality standards and that production scrap is weighed and reported.
- Read and follow production orders and specifications.
- Set and monitor daily production goals, ensuring all targets are met.
- Supervise training for new hires and manage shift scheduling, including overtime.
- Approve time cards and provide team leader breaks as necessary.
- Perform inventory checks and ensure appropriate raw material and packaging supplies.
- Report on machine performance and shift progress.
Requirements:
- A minimum of a high school diploma required.
- 5+ years of experience in plastics production manufacturing, particularly in blown film production, with a minimum of three years' experience in a leadership role within manufacturing.
- In-depth knowledge of extrusion equipment and manufacturing processes. Strong familiarity with safety regulations and quality control in a production environment.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.
