The Role:
The Director will ensure delivery of quality client/patient care by creating a work atmosphere conducive to professional growth, accountability, and autonomy. Will prepare the agency for state licensure surveys and ensure clinical staff is compliant with state and federal regulations. Develops and implements the QAPI programs for the agency, including ongoing quality measurement/audits, monitoring and analysis, performance improvement, education, and regulatory compliance consistent with all applicable policies, procedures, standards, and relevant laws and regulations.
As the Director of Private Duty Nursing, you will:
- Oversight and Management of all PDN program LPN’s and RN’s
- Reviews clinical record documentation of staff to ensure compliance with clinical record policies and procedures.
- Conducts Inter-Disciplinary Team meetings and manage all client-facing team members of the team, including productivity monitoring, mentoring, one-on-one meetings, and timekeeping,
- Reviews patient care problems with staff and promotes constructive problem-solving.
- Acts as a clinical consultant to staff as necessary to maintain and improve staff's professional skills.
- Ensures staff compliance with state, federal, and OSHA regulations, agency program policies and procedures.
- Assists staff in setting priorities of care.
- Ensures that the QAPI Program is data-driven and implemented agency-wide; defines data elements to be captured for ongoing.
- Ensures staff members within the scope of their position are clinically competent upon hire and on an ongoing basis.
- Monitors client/patient acuity and complexity as it relates to staff skill and knowledge. Plans and implements staff education development and provides guidance when necessary.
- In conjunction with the Area Director, develops policies, processes and protocols as needed, utilizing input from appropriate stakeholders, to ensure effectiveness and compliance of QAPI program.
- Performs intake assessments and identifies changing patient and community needs. Provides leadership for ongoing development and refinement of specific standards of care.
Monitors infection reports and trends.
- Performs all other duties as assigned by the Area Director
The right candidate for this position is somebody who:
- Excellent and ongoing knowledge of Federal and State regulations and standards.
- Knowledge of the duties and functions of the homecare agency and its relationship to the healthcare community.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative.
- Good judgment and problem-solving skills
- Strong written and oral communication skills in person and over the phone
- Strong team skills
In this position, you must have:
Education: BSN preferred
Experience Two years of Private Duty nursing experience or Previous role as Private Duty Nurse Manager
Certification/Licensure: Current Licensed RNto practice nursing in the State of NH Software/Hardware: Microsoft office, previous EMR experience
Location: Fully onsite at our Manchester, NH office.
