Sourcing Specialist – Hybrid | SeaTac, WA
Location: SeaTac, WA (Hybrid – 3 days onsite, 2 days remote)
Duration: 4 months (Potential to extend)
Start Date: ASAP
Shift: Monday – Friday, 8 hours/day, 40 hours/week
Role Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated Sourcing Specialist to join a dynamic procurement and sourcing team. In this role, you will collaborate with internal teams and external suppliers to ensure the strategic sourcing of goods and services. You’ll help identify sourcing opportunities, develop supplier relationships, negotiate contracts, and drive process improvements across business units. This is an exciting opportunity to make an impact in a fast-paced environment while working both onsite and remotely.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with procurement and sourcing teams to align sourcing strategies with business goals.
- Identify opportunities within business units and initiate the sourcing process.
- Partner with stakeholders on supplier evaluations, contract negotiations, and sourcing strategies.
- Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships to meet financial, quality, and performance targets.
- Assist in developing and managing contracts to support project objectives.
- Work closely with Procurement Buyers to identify new sourcing opportunities.
- Oversee the full lifecycle of commodities, including vendor oversight, acquisition, and asset disposition.
- Ensure suppliers meet quality, cost, and performance standards.
- Promote core values of professionalism, integrity, and resourcefulness throughout the sourcing process.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, or a related field preferred;
- ISM certification a plus.
Experience:
- At least 1 year of buying, sourcing, or related experience required; 3 years preferred.
- Experience with contract negotiations and vendor management preferred.
- Strong team-building and project management skills a plus.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word required; Excel and PowerPoint preferred).
- Strong analytical skills, with experience in cost/benefit analysis.
Additional Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must be at least 18 years old and authorized to work in the U.S.
- Highly self-motivated with the ability to work in a decentralized environment.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present ideas across teams.
Work Environment:
This is a hybrid role based in SeaTac, WA, requiring 3 days onsite per week (Tuesday preferred, with flexibility on the other two days). The remaining two days can be remote.
