Role Description
This is a full-time hybrid role for a DevOps Engineer at Truth Technologies, Inc. in Naples, FL. Expect to be on-site 2-3 days per week.
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented DevOps Engineer to join our Service Delivery team. This role combines system administration, application design, and development to support the reliability, scalability, and performance of our cloud infrastructure. The DevOps Engineer will assume full accountability for the delivery of innovative technical solutions that enhance the speed and ease of deployment. You will be responsible for delivering outstanding customer service, technical expertise, advanced troubleshooting, and support while maintaining timely and accurate deliverables. US Citizenship is required for this position.
Key Responsibilities:
• Infrastructure & Automation: Design and implement infrastructure and automated systems to support distributed architectures. Automate repetitive tasks using tools like Ansible, Terraform, and Helm.
• Container Orchestration: Manage and orchestrate containerized applications using Kubernetes and Docker.
• Cloud Support: Support cloud infrastructure on platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• CI/CD Pipeline: Work with development teams to identify and provide CI/CD automation using Jenkins, Harness, or similar tools.
• Monitoring & Stability: Collaborate on the development and implementation of monitoring configurations, enhancing the stability and availability of all systems. Use system monitoring tools like Prometheus, Nagios, Grafana, or PagerDuty.
• Customer Support: Provide Level 2 technical support and maintain a positive customer experience by addressing technical issues via ticketing systems such as Zendesk.
• Documentation: Create and maintain up-to-date documentation for all infrastructure and automation processes.
• Collaboration: Work closely with Product Development, IT, and Architecture teams to deliver well-designed, reliable solutions for all products. Consult with project management to determine project scope and timelines.
• Deployment: Support application upgrades and deployments, including non-traditional work hours to support weekend deployments.
• Root Cause Analysis: Conduct root cause analysis for production errors and provide troubleshooting support across Windows and Linux environments.
Skills and Qualifications:
• AWS Experience (3-5 years): Expertise in setting up, maintaining, and evolving cloud infrastructure for web applications.
• IT Security Experience (3-5 years): Ability to develop security policies and procedures, monitor operations and infrastructure, and maintain security tools and technology.
• Linux Administration (2-5 years): Hands-on experience with Linux environments.
• Data Tools Experience (2-5 years): Proficiency with tools like Elasticsearch, Oracle DB, and PostgreSQL.
• Development Experience (2-5 years): Experience developing with Java, JavaScript, NodeJS, or similar technologies.
• Configuration Management (1-3 years): Familiarity with tools like Ansible, Puppet, or Chef for configuration management.
• Automation Scripting (1-2 years): Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• CI/CD Tools: Experience with Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub, or similar CI/CD technologies.
• Operating Systems: Proficiency in both Windows and Linux systems for application support and troubleshooting.
• Networking and Virtualization: Knowledge of networking, infrastructure, virtualization (e.g., VMWare), and container technologies.
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Experience with IaC tools like Terraform and Desired State Configuration (DSC).
• Security & DevSecOps: Knowledge of security best practices, including code scanning tools (SCA, DAST, SAST).
Preferred Qualifications (a plus):
• BA/BS in Computer Science or Related Field: A degree in computer science, information technology, or a similar field is beneficial.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes: Expertise in containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with Terraform: Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform.
• Experience with Multi-cloud Environments: Working knowledge of multiple cloud providers (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
• Security Certifications (CISSP, CEH, etc.): Certifications in cybersecurity.
• Experience with Agile and DevOps Methodologies: Prior experience working in Agile environments and using DevOps best practices.
• Cloud Certifications: Certifications in cloud platforms (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Google Cloud Certified) are a plus.
This role will require a strong initiative, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and learn new technologies quickly from a DevOps perspective.
