What you will be doing:
The Senior Manager, Business Strategy, will be responsible for defining strategies to help Asurion Supply Chain support new business development efforts, sustain competitive differentiation and reach full potential. The successful candidate must possess excellent creative thinking, problem solving, influencing, and people skills, as well as the ability to facilitate significant results in ambiguous situations. This is a position with extensive responsibilities and a high amount of self-governing.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Serve as a Supply Chain point of contact to intake and evaluate new business development opportunities from client, product and corporate development teams. Support new business efforts by leading supply chain strategy definition, value prop communication, sell in support, RFP (request for proposal) responses, contract negotiation, pricing and more. Partner with Supply Chain functions and subject matter experts to help inform new ideas by identifying areas to differentiate, how we capture value and how we operationalize. Influence key stakeholders with data and facts to facilitate best strategic and financial resolutions for Supply Chain and Asurion.
Synthesize highly ambiguous business problems to drive clarity and alignment across supply chain and cross functional leaders. Partner with client services and product management teams to identify opportunities to productize current SCM capabilities. Assist in downstream sell in activities. Partner with the competitive intelligence team to develop views of the competitive landscape, including benchmarking of our current SCM capabilities and identifying new potential capabilities. Lead work that helps curate, interpret and distill supply chain intelligence to support new business development opportunities.
Maintain existing and develop new internally and externally facing articulations of Asurion’s Supply Chain value prop, including internal roadshows, client facing slides and more. Lead and coordinate client visits to our Supply Chain headquarters including understanding goals, developing content, sharing our story, coordinating stakeholders and more. Identify opportunities to increase efficiency in how the Strategy team operates and help drive implementation of new ideas.
Here’s what you’ll bring to the team:
- Ability to understand the interplay between complex supply chain dynamics including quality, engineering, procurement, operations, repair, customer experience and finance.
- Highly resourceful individual with excellent emotional intelligence, organizational skills, and self-motivated, able to multi-task and meet deadlines on multiple projects concurrently.
- Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills. Proven ability to work cross-functionally and with all levels, develop and manage relationships with key stakeholders, influence management and senior executives.
- Must maintain high sense of ownership and work independently within strategic direction.
- Proven experience telling a story to a variety of audiences.
- Demonstrated record of accomplishments in developing strategy, delivering on initiatives, and influencing others without formal authority.
- Demonstrated experience in financial management principles and budget management.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills plus a solid business and technical background.
- 8+ years' experience in supply chain, product management, strategy, client services or consulting.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, technology, finance or related field.
- Master’s degree preferred.
