Global X Management Company LLC (“Global X”) is seeking a highly motivated Commodities Research Analyst to join our Research Team. Working closely with other Research Team members and stakeholders across the firm, the Research Analyst will focus on our commodities ETFs, including silver, gold, copper, and uranium. The Research Analyst is expected to be an impactful contributor to the Research Team, including developing, maintaining, and promoting client-facing research content, conducting in-depth research projects, and communicating insights with clients, prospects, and media.

Key Responsibilities
- Create and maintain differentiated and engaging though leadership on commodities for our research library (www.globalxetfs.com/research) in a variety of mediums, including written text, data visualization, presentation slides, videos, and more Monitor, analyze, and synthesize recent news, financial and academic research, and economic data relevant to commodities
- Develop educational content to help investors understand the ETF structure, mechanics, liquidity, and broader competitive landscape for commodities
- Assist investors with how to use commodities tactically and strategically in a diversified portfolio
- Collaborate with the Product team to review the exposure, index methodologies and competitive positioning of existing commodities-based ETFs, as well as identify and help develop potential new product opportunities
- Conduct regular and ad-hoc research for internal and external stakeholders on various topics relevant to our ETFs and/or the ETF industry
- Respond to client questions about ETF methodology, performance attribution, fundamentals, and macro-drivers
- Communicate firm’s value proposition, details of firm’s products and services, and market insights to financial services professionals and investors, with varying levels of investing acumen and subject matter expertise via conference calls, webinars, in-person meetings, presentations to large groups, and more

Required Skills
Direct experience in commodities through trading, research, or sales capacity
Advanced communication skills, including demonstrated abilities in business writing, data analysis and visualization, and verbal presentations
Advanced skills in:
Excel (index match, VLOOKUP, cell and chart formatting, dynamic formulas, sheet linking, VBA, pivot tables/charts)
PowerPoint
Adept at synthesizing and concisely communicating nuanced topics to senior leadership, investment professionals, and investors across all levels of investing/conceptual acumen
Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to balance multiple projects in a dynamic environment while maintaining personal initiative
Knowledge of and deep passion for financial markets, with a particular focus on commodities investments
Attention to detail
Motivated self-starter and consummate teammate
Desired Skills
Experience with specialized financial software (Bloomberg, Factset, etc.), including excel APIs
Series 7 & 63 (license will be required within three months of start date)
Education and Experience
3-5 years of experience working in asset management (research, portfolio management, or sales-related functions), sell-side research, sales and trading, investment banking, venture capital, or management consulting
Intention of pursuing or progress towards CFA designation preferred, but not mandatory

For New York City only:
The base salary range for this position is $90,000-$120,000. In addition, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus and competitive benefits package. The total compensation package for this position may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
