Position Summary:
We are seeking a Senior Process Engineer responsible for developing, implementing, and optimizing manufacturing processes at our facility. This role aims to enhance production efficiency, ensure product quality, and reduce costs through process improvements and innovation.
Job Duties:
- Design, develop, and optimize processes to improve efficiency and product quality.
- Develop and implement process control techniques and procedures into manufacturing environments.
- Provide technical support to production teams to resolve manufacturing issues.
- Troubleshoot process problems and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Work closely with the Quality Assurance department to develop and implement process control plans.
- Lead process improvement projects from conception through implementation.
- Identify opportunities for cost reduction through process improvements and waste elimination.
- Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation plans to minimize process-related hazards.
- Create and maintain detailed process documentation, including work instructions, process flow diagrams, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Train production personnel on new processes and improvements to existing processes.
What you need to be successful:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field
- 5 or more years of experience with forging processes, materials science, and metallurgy
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex process issues
- Strong project management skills with the ability to lead cross-functional teams
- Ability to evaluate existing processes to improve sustainability, boost productivity, quality, and profitability, and develop best practices within the production process.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and critical thinking skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies
