The Director of Information Technology (IT Director) is responsible for managing a small team of IT Professionals, and driving the technology needs of the business. The IT Director will also be responsible for overseeing and managing the technical infrastructure (hardware, software, phone systems, networking, cybersecurity, and cloud), technical support operations, and backup and disaster recovery operations. Reports to the CFO and COO.
Responsibilities and Duties: (include but not limited to)
· Oversees the day-to-day operations of the IT Department, including troubleshooting and resolving technical issues.
· Manages projects related to the implementation of new systems and technologies, and / or existing system upgrades and maintenance.
· Works with various department managers and senior level management to identify business and technology needs to improve efficiency and optimize the use of information technology.
· Works with and manages vendors regarding IT related products and services.
· Provides proactive IT Department and project reporting to the Executive Management team.
· Develops and maintains Corporate IT Policies and Procedures.
· Performs other related duties as assigned.
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum 3 years experience in an IT supervisory management role.
- Ability to lead and teach others.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems, hardware components, and common software applications.
- Familiarity with network technologies, such as TCP/IP, LAN, WAN, VPN, and wireless networks.
- Experience with Microsoft 365, Entra ID, and Azure.
- Experience with SharePoint, OneDrive, and Teams.
- Experience with enterprise backup software.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Power BI and/or data management and reporting toolsets preferred, but not required.
- Experience in the real estate/property management industry preferred but not required.
- Experience with Yardi Property Management Software preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with mobile device management.
- Solid understanding of troubleshooting methodologies and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and people skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical individuals.
- Excellent phone and customer service skills.
- Excellent documentation skills.
